Renegade Game Studios launched two G.I. JOE Mission Critical expansions onto to preorder with projected release dates in August 2023.
The first expansion headed to preorder is Midnight Storm, which features the ninja master Storm Shadow as a boss. It also allows players to play new JOE heroes Jinx and Mutt/Junkyard. The game box comes with 2 Hero figures, 2 Character cards, 12 Foot Soldier figures, 10 Foot Soldier Enemy cards, 2 Lieutenant figures, 2 Lieutenant Deployment cards, 16 Lieutenant Enemy cards, 2 Vehicle cards, 20 Combat cards, a Boss figure, a Boss Deployment card, and 8 Boss Enemy cards. It will retail for $60.00.
The second expansion is Vanguard Strike, which adds classic JOE heroes Flint, Lady Jaye, and Barbecue to the mix. They will do battle against new lieutenant Aleph, leader of the Night Creepers, and new boss Firefly. The expansion also features three new vehicles. The game box comes with 3 Hero figures, 3 Character cards, 30 Combat cards, 3 Vehicle cards, a Lieutenant figure, a Lieutenant Deployment card, 8 Lieutenant Enemy cards, a Nemesis figure, a Nemesis Deployment card, 8 Nemesis Enemy cards, and a rule sheet. It will retail for $45.00.
